CD Projekt shared the news and other information regarding their upcoming titles, during a video made for investors highlighting the company’s many successes in the previous fiscal year. The video, posted on YouTube today, said “the Polaris team, working on the next game in The Witcher saga, made substantial progress [this year],” with the company’s chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz saying this long-awaited title will soon exit the pre-production phase. The progress made in the past six months will allow CD Projekt to “take [The Witcher 4] to the full production phase.”

Based on this new information, we might be looking at a reveal during the latter half of 2025 and maybe even a release the following year.

The Witcher 4 isn’t the only title CD Projekt’s studios and developers made progress on. Nielubowicz stated that within the company’s Boston studio, CD Projekt Red veterans and new talented developers are “laying the groundwork for another Cyberpunk game,” that we know as Project Orion. That game is likely even farther off than The Witcher 4, with my guess being at least 2026 for a reveal given the company’s previous track record. Keep in mind that these are just very rough estimates and that work on the upcoming Cyberpunk sequel only began less than a year ago following the launch of the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.

While on the topic of the expansion, Nielubowicz said Phantom Liberty had “solid sales” which helped boost CD Projekt’s financial standing and allowed them to invest even more resources into the development of upcoming projects.

CD Projekt has been making slow but steady progress on their in-development games, and the hype can now officially start pouring as we grow ever closer to a potential reveal and more details regarding The Witcher 4.
