If you’re hoping to 100 percent the event (and make progress toward the ever-elusive Violet Proto-Drake), we’ve got you covered. Here’s every Brewfest achievement and how to get it, freshly updated for The War Within and its new zones.

We’ve listed the achievements in the order that it makes the most sense to tackle them. You won’t be able to do all of this in a day—one of them takes an entire year to finish, so it’s best to start now as the event only runs from September 20 to October 6.

That being said, not every achievement here is necessary for the Brewmaster meta achievement, which is what rewards the Brewmaster title. If you want the Brewmaster achievement and title, all you need to focus on are the following achievements:

  • The Brewfest Diet
  • Brew of the Month
  • Have Keg, Will Travel
  • Direbrewfest
  • Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?

Before you start, head to the Brewfest camp for your faction. Alliance can find theirs just outside of the Ironforge gates while Horde need to go to Orgrimmar, outside the gates in the western section of Durotar.

Aside from The Brewfest Diet, Strange Brew, and Direbrewfest, you will need Brewfest Prize Tokens to complete the vast majority of these achievements, so it’s worth taking the time to farm them with games, challenges, and event quests before you start.

The Brewfest Diet

This is the easiest achievement to start off the Brewfest grind with. It’s simply a case of buying food items from the relevant vendors and eating them. All the vendors can be found in Dun Morogh or Durotar, depending on your faction’s camp location, and the items you need are as follows.

You need to buy and eat all eight of these food items to get the achievement. You don’t have to wait for your character to finish eating each item, though—simply click through your bags and polish them off. There’s a chance for these to drop from Coren Direbrew, too.

If you’re a battle pet and toy collector, keep an eye out for Gravil Goldbraid’s Famous Sausage Hat when speaking to Keiran Donoghue or Bron. It’s just as silly as it sounds, but it’s a relatively cheap seasonal toy that can help to pad out your collection tab for 100 Brewfest Prize Tokens.

Strange Brew

This is essentially the liquid version of the previous achievement. You need to pick up every beer on the list, but this time, you don’t need to drink them all. Simply buying them will get you the achievement.

The beers and vendors differ based on your faction. If you’re a member of the Alliance, look out for the following brews and event vendors.

All the beers have a small chance of dropping from Coren Direbrew, too. These will still be faction-tied, so an Alliance player won’t find Small Step Brew as a drop from the boss, for example.

Direbrewfest

For this, kill Coren Direbrew, the boss for the holiday. It’s not an overwhelmingly tricky fight, provided you have a group that pays attention to adds spawning in during the battle.

You can access this Blackrock Depths fight by queuing up in the Dungeon Finder or by speaking to a Dungeonmaster in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar to teleport easily.

Coren drops plenty of interesting loot, including the chance at some powerful trinkets like the Bitterest Balebrew Charm and the Thousand-Year Pickled Egg. There’s also a small chance of getting the mounts Great Brewfest Kodo or Swift Brewfest Ram.

When you kill Coren for the first time, you get a quest item called Diren’s Dire Brew. Turning this in will get you 40 Brewfest Prize Tokens—hang onto these, as you need them for some of the upcoming achievements.

Almost Blind Luck

This is the Brewfest edition of the Going Down quest. Grab a pair of Synthbrew Goggles for free in your Brewfest by speaking to Goldark Snipehunter (Alliance) or Snipehunter Goro (Horde) then find a tall cliff nearby.

Then, fall 65 yards down without dying. Use a spell like Slowfall to prevent any damage if needed, or simply take the damage on a max level character. You get the achievement when you hit the ground without dying.

A Round on the House

This quest takes place on the Dragon Isles instead of at the standard Brewfest camps. Go to Valdrakken, then find Bar Tab Barrels across the map to “donate” to. Don’t worry, it doesn’t cost any gold.

When you find a barrel in an inn or bar, simply click on it to grab its associated quest and turn it in immediately. The Bar Tab Barrel locations are:

  • Maruukai, Ohn’ahran Plains
  • Rusza’thar Reach, Ohn’ahran Plains
  • Shady Sanctuary, Ohn’ahran Plains
  • Algeth’era Court, Thaldraszus
  • Eon’s Fringe, Thaldraszus
  • Valdrakken, Thaldraszus
  • Camp Antonidas, The Azure Span
  • Camp Nowhere, The Azure Span
  • Iskaara, The Azure Span
  • Dragonscale Basecamp, The Waking Shores
  • Ruby Lifeshrine, The Waking Shores
  • Wingrest Academy, The Waking Shores

Once you click the Bar Tab Barrel in each one of these locations, you get the achievement—and they give 10 Brewfest Prize Tokens apiece, too.

While they’re not tied to an achievement at the time of writing, more Bar Tab Barrels are available in The War Within locations like Dornogal, too. If you’re trying to farm Brewfest Prize Tokens, make sure to do a loop of the TWW map.

Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?

This quest will differ based on your location. The aim is to pick up the Wolpertinger battle pet or the Wolpertinger’s Tankard, which you can purchase for 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens from any event token vendor.

This applies to every region except the US.

Players on the US servers will need to complete a quest called Catch the Wild Wolpertinger, which tasks you with catching five Stunned Wolpertingers near your Brewfest camp using the Wolpertinger Net and Synthbrew Goggles.

Have Keg, Will Travel

To grab this, all you need is either a Brewfest mount (from Coren Direbrew) or Brewfest Hops to turn your regular mount into a seasonal one. You can pick up the Hops at any Brewfest event token vendor for five Brewfest Prize Tokens.

Brew of the Month

You need 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens for this achievement, so make sure you check out the Bar Tab Barrels in Dragonflight and The War Within zones to pick them up quickly.

For Brew of the Month, go to your faction’s camp and find either Belbi Quikswitch (Alliance) or Larkin Thunderbrew (Horde) to purchase a Brew of the Month club membership. This means you get a new beer sent to you every month, permanently.

Brew of the Year

This is a time-gated task that takes a year to complete. Once you sign up for Brew of the Month, you can start working towards this achievement. All you need to do is to drink the following beers:

  • Aromatic Honey Brew
  • Autumnal Acorn Ale
  • Bartlett’s Bitter Brew
  • Binary Brew
  • Blackrock Lager
  • Draenic Pale Ale
  • Izzard’s Ever Flavor
  • Lord of Frost’s Private Label
  • Metock’s Bubble Bock
  • Springtime Stout
  • Stranglethorn Brew
  • Wild Winter Pilsner

These will be sent to you one by one, monthly, and will also be available to purchase for a month from the vendors in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. Make sure to check your mailbox on the first of every month so you don’t miss any beers and lose your progress.

Disturbing the Peace

Head back to your faction’s Brewfest Prize Token vendor for Disturbing the Peace. You need to wear three items of Brewfest clothing for this achievement (including the hats, dress, regalia, slippers, and boots), which you can purchase with Brewfest Prize Tokens, and then head to Dalaran.

Once in Dalaran, give your character as much alcohol as possible, then type “/dance” in the chat box to make them dance. The achievement will pop up as soon as you do this.

Make sure to get as many of these achievements done before Oct. 6 as possible so you can make progress towards the What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been achievement and nab the Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake when Brewfest rolls around next year.
