World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery is getting regular updates, and next is phase three

Phase three will increase the level cap to 50, introduce a new raid, add a ton of never-before-seen profession recipes and materials, and, of course, more Runes to power up your classes. Blizzard might add even more new features like Skill Books from phase two, but it’s still too early to make such presumptions.

Let’s stick to what Blizzard has already confirmed, which includes the release date for Season of Discovery phase three

According to Blizzard’s WoW Classic roadmapSeason of Discovery phase three will be released in the spring of 2024. The official release date has been confirmed to be April 4. The third SoD phase will launch on that date at 3pm CT.

At that time, players will be able to start progressing their characters through the open world again, with the level cap being raised from 40 to 50. We recommend parking your character in a spot like Gadgetzan or Booty Bay—where there are sure to be tons of quests for you to jump into immediately—so you can start leveling again ASAP.

What’s coming to WoW Classic Season of Discovery with phase three?

The biggest change in SoD phase three will be an increase in the level cap from 40 to 50. There will also be more Runes to uncover, notably for the head and wrist item slots. Additionally, you’ll be able to take the plunge into the Sunken Temple raid once you hit level 50, which will be SoD’s first 20-player raid.
