They can't believe it.

The M13B, which hasn’t been the most effective assault rifle in Warzone recently despite being a favorite for many, was nerfed in the latest patch, and those who use it are furious—especially after seeing the already-powerful M4 got even more buffs.

The October 23 patch dialed down the M13B’s close-range damage and reduced the damage multiplier for neck and torso hits, diminishing its overall damage output.

There was a slight uptick in the headshot damage multiplier, but it did little to appease frustrated players who couldn’t believe it was nerfed while the M4 was buffed to deal more damage from close to mid range.

“Yet another nerf to the M13B, making it even more obsolete than ever before,” said one player, who went on to explain it was never a top-tier weapon and somehow keeps on getting worse. “My favorite gun has become useless,” another wrote.

A more upbeat player noted, despite the nerfs, the M13B now packs a greater punch with headshots, making it a strong choice for sharpshooters who consistently land critical hits.

Despite the nerfs, M13B enthusiasts have declared they’ll be sticking with their favorite gun no matter what. A devoted player said if it still feels right and gets the job done, there’s no reason to switch. The dip in damage might be minor, and mastering a new weapon could be a tougher hill to climb than persisting with the M13B.

However, other players are a little more skeptical and are now considering switching to more potent weapons like the M4 as the metagame solidifies.

For those who do stick with the M13B, the best loadout at the moment includes the Harbinger D20 Muzzle, the 14″ Bruen Echelon Barrel, the AIM OP-V4 Optic, the Phase-3 Grip Underbarrel, and a 60 Round Mag. It plays into the M13B’s strengths and helps it thrive, especially in mid-range combat.
