Before you start modding Zenless Zone Zero, you need a special modding software called 3DMigoto. This software runs in the background while you run ZZZ (or any other miHoYo game) and loads mods.

Before you ask, YES, this software is perfectly safe, and NO, it won’t get you banned. The mods that run through the 3DMigoto software are mostly cosmetic mods and are usually only visible to the player running them. Because of this, miHoYo doesn’t have a problem with 3dmigoto, and according to Reddit, nobody has ever been banned from using it.

After you download 3DMigoto, extract the program and save it to a folder on your device you can easily remember (you’ll need to place mods inside this folder manually).

How to mod ZZZ

To mod ZZZ, follow these steps:

  1. Download the mods (make sure you are downloading them from reputable sources)
  2. Place the mods inside the “Mods” folder of the 3DMigoto mod launcher you downloaded earlier
  3. Keep this folder open and start the official ZZZ launcher
  4. Inside the 3dmigoto mod launcher, run the 3DMigoto Loader.exe file
  5. A window will open, which will load your previously saved mods into ZZZ
  6. Start the game using the official launcher
  7. Enjoy your mods

If your mods don’t load, you either haven’t placed them correctly inside the Mods folder, or they aren’t recognized by the 3DMigoto Loader.
