How to complete Plumber Power quest in WoW The War Within – Solve the steam tunnel puzzles

Plumber Power is one of those tricky quests in World of Warcraft: The War Within that tests the limits of your patience as you solve the steam tunnel puzzles. If you’re struggling, here’s a step-by-step guide to follow to solve all three.

How to start the Plumber Power quest in WoW The War Within

You can start the Plumber Power quest in WoW The War Within by speaking to Fourman Grimmes in Gundargaz in The Ringing Deeps. You’ll find him at the coordinates 47 and 32.

As this quest is part of the Kobold Culture and Integration questline, you’ll need to complete the prior War Within quests before starting this one. That said, if you’re here, you’re likely already working on (and struggling with) these quest puzzles.

How to complete the Plumber Power quest in WoW The War Within

To complete the Plumber Power quest, you must solve three puzzles. These require you to move the tiles to connect the pipes from one end to the other. While it looks easy, they can be quite challenging to solve. I’ve included screenshots of every move you must complete for all three Steam Tunnel Puzzles in The War Within below.

1) How to solve Steam Tunnel Puzzle One

1. Move the tile in spot Two to Three.
2. Move the tile in spot Five to Two.
3. Move the tile in spot Six to Five.
4. Move the tile in spot Three to Six.
5. Move the tile in spot Two to Three.
6. Move the tile in spot One to Two.
7. Move the tile in spot Four to One.
8. Move the tile in spot Five to Four.
9. Move the tile in spot Two to Five.
10. Move the tile in spot One to Two.
11. Move the tile in spot Four to One.
12. Move the tile in spot Five to Four.
13. Move the tile in spot Six to Five.
14. Move the tile in spot Three to Six.

2) How to solve Steam Tunnel Puzzle Two

1. Move the tile in spot Four to Five.
2. Move the tile in spot One to Four.
3. Move the tile in spot Two to One.
4. Move the tile in spot Three to Two.

6. Move the tile in spot Nine to Six.

3) How to solve Steam Tunnel Puzzle Three

6. Move the tile in spot Nine to Eight.
7. Move the tile in spot Six to Nine.
8. Move the tile in spot Three to Six.
9. Move the tile in spot Two to Three.
10. Move the tile in spot Five to Two.
11. Move the tile in spot Four to Five.
12. Move the tile in spot Seven to Four.

Once you’ve finished the third Steam Tunnel Puzzle, you can return to Fourman Grimes and complete the quest. While it’s not as challenging as some of the other quests, it’s quite a tough, even if you enjoy puzzles. It took me quite a few tries to get the second puzzle correct and I hope it’s the last we see of pipes in The War Within.
