Four Finnish teams will compete for a prize pool of more than $9,000 during the tournament, which will be held from August 3 to 4 in Helsinki, Finland at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center. The four teams will be picked from selected invites and an online qualifier. Two teams will be invited, and the other two will have to qualify. The tournament is set with a double-elimination format, “where each team drops out after two losses,” according to organizers.

Each map is a best-of-five series, with all games played on stage. Games will also be streamed on Twitch. Invited teams have not yet been announced. As for the qualifiers, there are two tournaments scheduled, one on July 4 and the other on July 5.

The tournament is an early chance to see potential Finland Overwatch World Cup players compete ahead of the big event. Finland is scheduled to play in the South Korea qualifier. If they make it out of groups, the team will move on to the main Overwatch World Cup tournament in November at BlizzCon. Players for the Finnish Overwatch World Cup team have not yet been chosen.

Finland didn’t make it out of the Syndey qualifier for last year’s Overwatch World Cup, but placed fourth in the 2016 event.
