This has not been the best start to 2017 for Supremacy.
As first reported by Dexerto, Faiz “SenKa“ Aurang has run into passport and visa issues, and will be replaced by Wailers “Wailers” Locart for Supremacy at MLG Atlanta.
These issues reflect that of former Supremacy player Igor “Hosterz“ Smirnov, who failed to get his passport and visa issues sorted for CWL London. He has since not re-appeared on Twitter and has been replaced by Eddy “Malls” Maillard.
Supremacy will go through the open bracket, like several other European teams outside of the top-six, including The Imperial, and will do so with a team put together at the last minute.
Wailers proved his worth at the recent CWL London event, with a 1.13 K/D across all games on a Hadouken team that he helped carry to three map wins overall. While this seemed like another strong competitor that the EU scene has to offer, Wailers revealed at the event that he will be moving to the United States, and fielding a team under Team Vitality.
With two straight major LAN events not being attended by the full French side, the organization’s chances of being a LAN League side are definitely into question, and with the recent break-up of another major French team in Cyclone, Supremacy does have the option of a new fourth after this string of events outside of France. However, with the next major event being ESWC Paris, the full side would be available to play in that event, and have the opportunity to catch up on pro points there.
UPDATE: A previous version of this article wrongly said that SenKa missed both GFinity and this event. The article has been updated with correct information.
