Early Game: First Blood for Meteos Gives C9 the Lead

After counter jungling Karsa’s Krugs, Meteos made a bold move top lane and predicted MMD’s dodge to hit a spear. After a flash combo, Meteos got first blood and gave Impact a strong lead. Thinking he was stronger than he was, Meteos tried to fight SwordArt, but the rest of SKT came to the rescue in seconds to secure a kill. Having a number advantage for just a few seconds, C9 capitalized by securing a Mountain Drake.

Mid Game: Flash Wolves Make a Comeback

Despite C9’s very strong early game play, FW started destroying C9 at every point. Every fight resulted in FW getting very low but they managed to finish off C9. Maple became so strong that C9 couldn’t even 1v3 him, even with exhaust. At this point, FW had two Ocean Drakes and complete map control over C9.

Late Game: Flash Wolves Take Baron and Push to Win

With the power spike given through Baron buff, FW looked dominant as they took objectives around the map. As soon as they pushed minions into C9’s base, they kept peeling off and waited for C9 to try to get any resources. Since they were starving C9, they just waited until Baron respawned again so they could keep their power advantage high. A 10k gold lead meant FW could brute force their way to a free inhibitor. As they regrouped on top of Elder Dragon, C9 made a last ditch effort to come back into the game, but they were aced. With that, FW ended the game to earn a crucial win in Group B. Both teams are now 2-3.
