Los Angeles Valiant has capped off the roster lock period with two more team moves.
Flex player Lee “envy” Kang-jae has been released from the Immortals’ Overwatch League roster. DPS player Christopher “GrimReality” Schaefer has been moved to an assistant coaching role. He’ll work with coach Warsi Faraaz Waris in acquiring talent and assisting the team, according to LA Valiant.

LA Valiant did not expand on envy’s release from the organization, aside from a vague statement. “[Envy] and the Los Angeles Valiant have mutually agreed to a release from his contract with the organization.”
Envy is typically a starting player on LA Valiant, and widely considered a strong D.Va player. Indy “SPACE” Halpern will likely take his place as flex tank, as he’s recently come of age to participate in the Overwatch League.
These two roster moves come on the heels of a trade of Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson for Scott “Custa” Kennedy. Over the weekend, LA Valiant also announced the acquisition of former Seoul Dynasty DPS Chae “Bunny” Jun-hyeok.
The new LA Valiant roster will debut on April 4 in a match against Seoul Dynasty.
