It’s been six months since Smilegate’s MMO Lost Ark made its way to the West, and the game is still receiving regular updates, new content, and events.
When it was released, the game received tremendous and unexpected success, surpassing one million concurrent players on Steam. It had set the record as the second-highest peak of concurrent players behind PUBG and caused an overload of the game’s servers, leading Amazon Games to open a new data center for Europe.
Now, the game has disappeared from the top categories of Twitch and its player base has stabilized. But how many players are still playing the MMO six months after its release? Here’s everything we know.

Number of players in Lost Ark
At the time of writing, Lost Ark is still going strong on Steam.
The game has kept its place in the 10 games and is currently in fifth place with over 170,000 concurrent players, according to Steam Charts.
Lost Ark’s Western release brought over 10 million players to the game, which totaled 20 million in March including the Asian player base, one month after its release. Since then, the developers haven’t revealed any update on those numbers.
The game’s population has been decreasing slowly in the West since the summer, according to various game population trackers. This means it’s unlikely Lost Ark’s overall player base has surpassed 20 million players since.
