Following the launches of The Center and Scorched Earth, a new adventure in Ark: Survival Ascended lies ahead with Aberration—something fans have been waiting for after seeing the release date pushed back.
The countdown until the release of Aberration is now well and truly on, so we’re here to help by telling you the exact time and date of the drop.
Ark: Survival Ascended Aberration release date
Ark: Survival Ascended officially confirmed the Aberration content update is launching on Sept. 5, 2024. This is two months later than the initial roadmap suggested and overlaps with the potential release of the Ragnarok update. Considering The Center update scheduled for May was also delayed until June, we can expect the entire timeline to be pushed back by a couple of months.
It’s been a familiar scene for long-term Ark fans, however, as there have been several last-minute delays to the update’s release. The latest release time announced by the devs is 12pm PT/2pm CT/3pm ET/8pm BST/5am AEST (Sept. 6).

Aberration is the third map for Ark: Survival Ascended and mixes up the formula from previous maps, with new creatures to tame, a new world to explore, and new bosses to fight—but it’s far from the end of the line.
Ragnarok and Extinction were originally set to release in September and October 2024 respectively, with Aberration previously slated for a July release. Due to that delay, future releases are likely to be affected—particularly those originally due to ship before the end of 2024.
Releases further out consist of Valguero, Genesis Part One, Crystal Isles, Genesis Part 2, Lost Island, and Fjordur. Though these were originally given release months in the roadmap, we have omitted them here, as we expect changes to be announced in due course.
Update at 4pm CT on Sept. 4: Ark: Survival Ascended has been delayed to 9am CT on Sept. 5.
