More evil endings

This patch includes 13 new evil endings to bring your journey across the Sword Coast to a more thrilling conclusion when you decide you embark on a wicked path. All of these endings include fresh cinematics to ensure you get to fully witness the ending unfold.

Since these are evil endings, they’re all tied to making bad choices throughout, so the only way to see them play out is to fully embrace the darkness. This means you may want to consider making crucial bad choices like using Illithid Powers to see these endings in action. You might as well also claim the Mind Blown achievement while you’re at it if you’re fully committed to embracing the evil.

What all of these endings entail is unknown, but we do know some details about a few of them based on the previews shared on the official Baldur’s Gate 3 X (formerly Twitter) page.

Skip to the next section if you don’t want any spoilers for what these endings include.

Some of the endings that have been teased follow the Dark Urge mind controlling their companions, another with them fully controlling all of the people within Baldur’s Gate, an ending where Wyll controls his father Duke Ravengard, and personalized evil endings for every Origin character. No matter who you play as and what choices you make, there should now be a satisfying ending complete with a rich cinematic to conclude your journey.

Modding support

There are plenty of amazing mods you can install for Baldur’s Gate 3, and this patch makes modding a whole lot easier with an in-game mod manager. In this manager, you can easily see all the mods you’re working with, enable or disable them as desired, manage your mods in multiplayer parties to make playing easier, and much more. There’s also a modding toolkit you can download to create mods for Baldur’s Gate 3.

Additional Honour Mode Legendary Actions

Some new additions have been added for Honour Mode to grant certain characters additional Legendary Actions. Some of these additions include a Grasping Appendage move usable by Malus Thorm, the Soul Sacrifice and Tu’narath’s Embrace moves usable by Ch’r’ai Tska’an, and a Ptarian Dogma move usable by Ptaris. Formidable foes are even tougher to face now when playing this mode, so prepare for an even greater challenge.

Redesigned split screen

If you’re playing with a friend in split-screen mode, you’ll notice it’s undergone a redesign with this patch. The screens now dynamically change as you and the person you’re playing with move together and apart to connect into one screen when you’re close and separate into two as you move apart.

Additional animations

A couple of fresh animations have been added for the companions we all know and love. This includes more idle animations for Astarion at camp so he isn’t always reading a book and Minsc performing tai chi that Boo may have taught him.

Hundreds of bug fixes and small changes

The full Patch 7 patch notes are absolutely massive with literally hundreds of bug fixes across the game and many other small changes throughout. The Patch 7 update is a big one, so it’s worth reviewing the complete list of changes if you want to check all the little details this update includes.
