The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta officially went live on Aug. 30. It will only run for the next couple of weeks, and fans of the Zombies mode are wondering if they’ll get a taste of the new round-based maps that are on the way.

Zombies mode is not expected to be playable during the Black Ops 6 beta. If you look at the main menu for the beta, Multiplayer is the only option you can click on, while Zombies and Single Player (Campaign) are both locked. Since this is the multiplayer beta, it’s highly unlikely that Zombies will be playable before the launch of Black Ops 6 on Oct. 25.

Even though this may be disappointing news for CoD fans, there’s a lot to look forward to with Black Ops 6 Zombies at launch. Round-based Zombies is returning with Black Ops 6 and two maps are set to be available when the game drops: Terminus and Liberty Falls.

GobbleGums are also returning in Black Ops 6, offering unique buffs and benefits in the form of a consumable gumball item. A new Wonder Weapon called the Beamsmasher has been confirmed for the Terminus map, as well as a new perk known as Melee Macchiato joining some classics like Jugger-Nog, Quive Revive, and Speed Cola. And there’s even a new item called the Mutant Injection which will let you temporarily take the form of a Mangler zombie and wreak havoc on hordes of the living dead.

If you want to get a glimpse at what Black Ops 6 multiplayer has to offer, the early access beta will be available from Aug. 30 to Sept. 4. This is for people who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or got a beta code somehow. The open beta is scheduled to run from Sept. 6 to 9. Zombies players will most likely have to sit tight until Oct. 25—but there is some Liberty Falls gameplay you can watch from content creators who attended CoD Next.
