Four teams have made it through the open bracket at this weekend’s Call of Duty World League LAN event—and two of them are familiar faces.
Ghost Gaming, Enigma6, Elevate, and Conquest Esports took down everyone they faced in the open bracket to qualify for pool play at the 2018 CWL Anaheim Open.

Ghost Gaming picked up an impressive sweep of Team Heretics to qualify for pool play. Andres Lacefield, Adam “GodRx” Brown, Casey “Pandur” Romano, and Christopher “Parasite” Duarte will be in Pool A alongside Red Reserve, FaZe Clan, eUnited, and Tainted Minds.
Enigma6—Jordon General, Troy “Sender” Michaels, Steven “Diabolic” Ribero, and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris—absolutely dominated Brash Esports to earn a spot in Pool B, where they’ll compete against Luminosity, Rise Nation, Team Kaliber, and Epsilon.
Elevate’s recently-acquired lineup took down Chance “Maux” Moncivaez and crew on Impact Gaming 3-1 to join Pool C. Michael “SpaceLy” Schmale, Jared “Nagafen” Harrell, Steve “Mochila” Canle, and Mikhail “Blfire” Glushenok will now face off against Echo Fox, UNILAD, Mindfreak, and Evil Geniuses in the group stage.
Surprisingly, though, Lightning Pandas didn’t qualify for pool play. Jevon “Goonjar” Gooljar-Lim, Mathew “Royalty” Faithfull, John “Xotic” Bruno, and Dylan “Theory” McGee were upset 3-1 by the relatively-unknown Conquest Esports. Conquest—Matthew “KiSMET” Tinsley, Timothy “Phantomz” Landis, Paul “Tisch” Tischler, and Tom “Grvty” Malin—will be in Pool D alongside OpTic Gaming, Splyce, Team Envy, and compLexity.
Although these four squads survived the grueling open bracket, their day is just getting started at CWL Anaheim. These open bracket teams will now play four pool play matches until the top two squads in each group are determined later tonight.
