Fnatic is apparently in talks to acquire Brollan from Red Reserve

The goal seems to be "Make Fnatic Swedish Again."

It looks like Fnatic wants to make changes to its CS:GO roster once again.

The Swedish powerhouse is reportedly looking to sign Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin from Red Reserve, according to VP Esports. This move would make Fnatic an all-Swedish lineup once again, since it had to field Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom in time for Season Eight of the ESL Pro League.

If the deal were to go down, Brollan would be an immediate replacement for ScreaM. ScreaM has been a temporary replacement for Fnatic since the team dropped Robin “flusha” Ronnquist, who subsequently went to Cloud9 after his benching in September.

The changes would easily be beneficial for the team, so that they won’t have to communicate in both Swedish and English. This is because ScreaM has been on French and English-speaking teams in the past. ScreaM had to fill-in for Fnatic on short notice earlier this month due to other changes within the team—besides flusha’s departure. AWPer William “draken” Sundin was removed from the team, and Simon “twist” Eliasson was brought on as a replacement.

Brollan is known for being a talented prospect under both GODSENT (before it ceased operations in June) and Red Reserve. At 15-years-old, he was one of the youngest players to ever play for a professional team, when he started playing for GODSENT in December 2017, according to Liquipedia. The young gun would likely be a secondary AWPer within the current Fnatic role structure, behind primary AWPer Jesper “JW” Wecksell.

Negotiations for Brollan are supposedly still ongoing between Fnatic and Red Reserve.

Update Oct. 17 1:46pm CT: Fnatic announced that brollan will be coming into the lineup, replacing ScreaM, who’s now an inactive player for Fnatic until the end of October.
