Diablo 4 enters Season of the Infernal Hordes on Aug. 6. This is the fifth Diablo 4 season and introduces over 50 new Uniques and Legendary items, a new seasonal questline, new Hellbreach dungeons, and (most importantly) a new wave-based feature called Infernal Hordes.

Seasons in Diablo 4 typically last around three months, so we can expect season five to end (and season six to begin) sometime in January 2025. Blizzard hasn’t confirmed the name, date, or contents for season six, however.

What is the current Diablo 4 season?

The current Diablo 4 season is season four, Loot Reborn. This season began on May 14 and runs until Aug. 6, when season five begins.

Season four overhauled the item drop system, introducing the Masterworking and Tempering crafting systems that allow for more late-game upgrades. This season also added the Pit of Artificers, new Helltide features, and a new seasonal quest.

If you’ve not completed this seasonal questline for season four yet, you better get cracking. There’s not long left until this season ends and the new one kicks off.
