Disney Dreamlight Valley has been keeping players around the world occupied with regular updates since it launched, bringing new content to the valley on a consistent basis.
Since the updates are quite frequent, you might be wondering when the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update will be arriving.
When is the next update for Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update will be released in late winter, which likely means sometime in February.
Each new update has previously launched around 8am to 9am CT, so the next update almost certainly will too. There’s no official name for this update just yet, but we do already know what it will include based on Gameloft’s most recent roadmap update.
The next update will feature a new Realm for Monsters, Inc. and includes the arrival of both Mike and Sulley. Updates that include new realms are always extremely massive since they include an entirely new world to explore, so most of the update will be dedicated to Monsters, Inc. and its two main characters.
Mike and Sulley’s arrival also means tons of new quests and items you can obtain as you befriend them. We don’t know anything else about this update just yet, but it will likely feature a new Star Path since the devs mentioned having one with every update in the first Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase.
How often does Disney Dreamlight Valley receive updates?
Disney Dreamlight Valley doesn’t have an officially confirmed update schedule, but based on my experience with Gameloft’s update patterns so far, you can generally expect to see a new update release about every two months.
Some of these updates will be much bigger than others, but Gameloft has so far delivered some form of new content in an update about every two months nonetheless.
Previously, the devs have only announced updates around a few weeks in advance, but for the foreseeable future, we have a general idea of when all of the next updates will be and what they will include thanks to the roadmap. There are also lots of leaked characters we can expect to see soon.
All upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley updates
There are five known free updates arriving in the future. These updates are:
- Late Winter 2024 update (February or March)
- Early Spring 2024 update (April or May)
- Late Spring 2024 update (May or June)
- Summer 2024 update (June or July)
Since Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first expansion pass A Rift in Time launched with the Dec. 5, 2023 update, it seems likely we can expect to see more paid content released alongside the promised free updates in the future. It’s probably going to be a while before we see paid content as grand as this pass is, but there might be a couple of items similar in size to Ursula’s Transformation Dream Bundle and the Dapper Wall-E Dream Bundle dropping around these updates in the meantime.
This means there will be a ton of new content for players who only have the base game and those who choose to pay for additional features, so everyone has something to look forward to.
