How to get and use Boosters in Helldivers 2

Here’s everything you need to know about Boosters in Helldivers 2, including how to get and use them.

How to unlock Boosters in Helldivers 2

Boosters in Helldivers 2 are team-wide buffs you can bring into every deployment. You can unlock Boosters in one of the multiple available Warbonds; it’s the only way to get them. Open the Acquisitions Center when on your Super Destroyer, select one of the Warbonds, and scroll through the pages to find Boosters.

On average, one Booster costs around 50 Warbond Medals, but those prices can be higher, especially in the later pages of the Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond. Every new Warbond usually has one new Booster as well, so keep an eye out for new additions to the Acquisitions Center.

How to use Boosters in Helldivers 2

You can equip a Booster when selecting Stratagems and equipment for the mission. Select the yellow hexagon to the right of Stratagem slots and choose your Booster based on what you own from the Warbonds.

Here are a few things to consider when selecting Boosters:

  • Every Helldiver on the squad can equip one Booster.
  • Boosters are active throughout the entire mission.
  • Booster effects don’t stack.
  • Booster effects apply to the entire team.

There is a strategy behind Boosters in Helldivers 2. You should designate teammates to specific Boosters and ensure you don’t bring two or more of the same. This also allows you to get as much support as possible during the mission.

The best Boosters in Helldivers 2

Some of the best general Boosters are the following:

  • Hellpod Space Optimisation
  • Vitality Enhancement
  • Muscle Enhancement
  • Increased Reinforcement Budget

Hellpod Space Optimisation is especially good, as you dive in with full supplies and don’t have to waste time scavenging or calling down the resupply.

However, you can also tailor the Boosters specifically to your loadout. If you’re running a lot of flamethrowers and armor with the Inflammable passive, for example, you could take advantage of the Firebomb Hellpods Booster for extra damage and clearing.

Discuss with the team which Boosters each of you is taking, or pick the one most effective for you if you’re riding solo. Remember, you are limited to only one Booster at a time, and this choice cannot be changed once you land on a planet.
