Checked In

All you need to do is enter the cabin with Mike in Welcome to Woodbury.

Survivor

We recommend wearing headphones for this so that the mic doesn’t pick up random noises in the background and alert the antagonist to your position. Here is what you need to do to survive the encounter:

  1. After the antagonist is revealed, he will run to the door to destroy the handle. Take this moment to run downstairs, into the basement, and inside the nook under the staircase.
  2. When the antagonist searches inside the previously locked basement room, use this time to run upstairs. Nora will call you, alerting the antagonist.
  3. When you regain control of Sydney, run past the front door and up to the first floor. Head into the bedroom Sydney was using to rest in earlier. Shut the door behind you.
  4. Quickly grab the step ladder next to the closet door by clicking and looking at it. Let the bar fill green. Open the closet and go inside with the ladder in hand.
  5. The mic will reappear, and the antagonist will enter shortly. Be quiet and wait until he leaves the room.
  6. Place the step ladder on the floor by looking at the ground, directly underneath the attic hatch.
  7. Stand on the ladder and use the left mouse button to enter the attic.
  8. Wait until Nora calls, look at the text messages from Rick, and listen out for Mike banging on the front door.
  9. Head back downstairs as the coast is now clear.

Talkative

All you need to do with this one is go around every table of Moe’s Pizza and talk to all the customers. The Hiker doesn’t count for this achievement.

Type Master

Play Type Invaders on Sydney’s PC in the Office. Type each word corresponding to the approaching enemies before they touch you. Spacebar isn’t needed for more than one word answers. Don’t worry about accuracy for this one, just focus on keeping enemies back so you don’t take any damage.

Loud

As the Hiker knocks at the front door for you to let them in, sneak up to the door while crouched. This will automatically open the blinds to reveal the Hiker standing there. Either talk loudly or clap into your mic/device so the Hiker notices you before you interact with the door to speak to him.

Caffeinated and Creamy

You need to follow these steps when making your coffee at the beginning of Woodbury Getaway:

  1. Place the coffee pod inside the machine.
  2. Pick up an empty cup.
  3. Fill the cup with water.
  4. Place the cup in the machine.
  5. Interact with the coffee machine to pour coffee.
  6. Pick up creamer and place it in the coffee.
  7. Pick up the lid and place it on the cup.

Purr

Initiate the next round of hiding by talking to Mike after finding the cat in the attic. This will prompt you to hide in the woodshed next. When this action appears, go to the kitchen instead and open the cooler to find the carp you caught earlier. Take this carp back to the attic and drop it for the cat (using G).

Kobe

You can complete this at the beginning of the Fishing chapter. After picking up your fishing rod, drop it outside the shack and head over to the bench and basketball hoop in the backyard. Pick up the basketball nearby and get as close to the hoop as you can. Look way above the backboard and make your shot.

Reel Success

When fishing, pick up the Crankbait and use it at the river when tasked to catch three Common Carp. It took me three attempts to reel in a Northern Pike.

Zero Deaths

Don’t forget this crucial step. Screenshot by Dot Esports

This follows the same format as Survivor, but you must beat this section without dying. The game over screen happens when the antagonist grabs you. This will always put you back to the main menu, where you can head back into this sequence by selecting the Hiding in the Basement chapter.

The problem with this achievement is that it doesn’t appear unlockable on the same save file if you’ve already beaten the game. Returning to the Rick chapter doesn’t restart the encounter. Therefore, if you beat the game without dying by revisiting the chapter—and you don’t receive this achievement—then your best bet is to start a new game and complete it again, this time with zero deaths.
