Deep down, every League of Legends player wants to win (yes, even that top laner who first-timed Teemo in your promos once) and that includes those diving into some relaxing ARAM matches—and that means playing the best picks.

While Summoner’s Rift has its standout regulars each update, as does League’s new Arena mode, the ARAM metagame can be a little more volatile, especially when Riot Games’ balance team keeps working hard to make the all-round, all-mid mode as fair as possible with buffs, nerfs, and major changes.

Because of this, even the smallest of changes can shift the dynamic of our favorite champions (especially if you play someone like Jhin, as I do).

So, I’ve got analyzed all the best champions with the highest win rates in ARAM across all major regions—with a little help from League stats site U.GG—to give you the best chance to conquer the Abyss.

Best League ARAM champions in Patch 13.14

Lillia

Lillia has bound up to the top of the ARAM leaderboards in Patch 13.14 and currently wins nearly 56 percent of games in the one-lane playlist. That’s out of a whopping 57,105 matches played too, so we know she’s no slouch. In particular, her Lilting Lullaby can be a game-ending ability. I’d recommend having a few practices with her Swirlseed before grabbing her—it’s basically her key move.

Brand

I’d argue you haven’t really lived in League—and that includes ranked promos to Platinum—until you’ve pulled off a five-player Brand ultimate in ARAM. This fiery champion’s suite of area-of-effect abilities has made him one of the deadliest threats in the mode. He wins 54 percent of games.

Lissandra

Like Lillia above, a lot of Lissandra’s power comes from her stun-heavy ultimate. If the Ice Witch can land a strong Frozen Tomb, it’s basically game over but for the broke Nexus. She has been winning 55.69 percent of games this update.

Nasus

This latest League update has seen Nasus step into the ARAM limelight in a big way, especially in the wins department; the long-living Ascended warrior has won 54.73 percent of the 56,318 matches he’s appeared in. He may not be the most picked (that would be Miss Fortune), but he’s become quite the presence on the Abyss.

Sion

There are few things as scary as when you’re playing on Howling Abyss and you see a charging Sion ready to bowl down your team. Even scarier, he wins around 54.64 percent of matches in Patch 13.14. The Undead Juggernaut’s status as a premiere and nigh-unkillable tank combined with his immense damage is basically the perfect blend in any ARAM clash.

Honorable Mentions

While they may not be the very best characters in the single-lane mode, there are four or five other champions I’d also recommend locking in if you see the dice roll throw them your way in the lobby:

  • Zyra (55.97 percent win rate)
  • Swain (54.60 percent)
  • Teemo (53.76 percent)
  • Aatrox (53.45 percent)
  • Lux (52 percent win rate with 12.4 percent presence)

We will make sure this ARAM tier list is updated every League patch.
