Splyce has experienced quite a tumultuous start to its new life in the franchised European LEC. After having its initial application rejected, the team was let back in after a dramatic last-minute decision by Riot Games.

But that meant the organization was a step behind in roster construction. It had let a majority of its contracted players start negotiating with other teams under the assumption that Splyce would not be participating in the league. But the organization overcame that and has become one of the first to lock in its full starting roster for the 2019 season.
Two members of the 2018 roster remain: Jungler Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir and bot laner Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup. Around them are two new solo laners, Tamás “Vizicsacsi” Kiss from Schalke 04 and Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, who will be a rookie next split.
The last addition was support Tore “Norskeren” Eilertsen from ROCCAT. His addition was somewhat of a surprise as Norskeren tweeted a week ago that he would not be playing in the LEC in 2019. An outpouring of support followed, calling for a top-level team to give the young player a chance. Splyce evidently listened and may have gotten quite a diamond in the rough with the signing.
With its starting roster completed, Splyce will look to improve upon its results in 2018, when the team qualified for the playoffs after both splits but didn’t go far either time. The 2019 season is expected to start in January.
