Which LoL champion says, ‘Cannonball!’?

This one's easy-peasy.

Recent LoLdle quotes have been a pretty fun mixture of short and long League of Legends champion quotes, but today’s LoLdle quote is another epically short single-word one. With only a single word to go off, things are going to be pretty tricky—especially if you don’t know your AD carry characters too well.

Who says, “Cannonball!” in LoL?

The LoLdle quote on Aug. 2 is, “Cannonball!” The League champion who says this line is Tristana.

I was really hoping today’s LoLdle would be tough. When I initially saw this was one line, I immediately thought of the Kassadin quote we had recently and how troublesome that one was. But this one, despite being only one word, I found it easy to figure out. Although there are a few champions like Gangplank who have canons or canon-inspired abilities, the only champion who could fit this bill is Tristana. And I was right—the little Yordle says this particular quote when her Buster Shot (R) collides with an enemy.

Although Tristana just got massive adjustments in Patch 14.4 to help her stale gameplay, particularly among pros, these changes have not favored the Yordle. For us regular folks, Tristana just isn’t cutting it in Season 14, where she has an abysmally low win rate of 45.86 percent, according to the League stat website U.GG. So, she’s just not a viable ADC at the moment, which is a shame because her voice lines are cheeky and fun. She does have a better win rate in ARAMs, so if you roll Tristana, it’s worth playing her there.

While my dreams of a head-scratching, brain-wracking, impossible LoLdle quote didn’t quite come to fruition, I’m glad it wasn’t another support quote to end the week.
