Pro Pool Play
The chalk in all four groups are 2-0 after the first day of play, and while there were not that many upsets, there still was some great Gears to be played.
Here’s a look at each of the groups:
Group A
#1 OpTic Gaming 2 – 0 #8 Enigma6
#9 Epsilon Esports 2 – 0 #8 Enigma6
#1 OpTic Gaming 2 – 0 #9 Epsilon Esports
With Enigma6 dropping both of their games and being mathematically eliminated from Championship Bracket play, their coach E6 Burger still has faith in his squad for future tournaments, saying, “We’re labeled as the comeback kids for a reason. We aren’t going to be down on ourselves. We’re coming back stronger than ever.”
Group B
#2 Revenge 2 – 1 #7 BOT Empire
#2 Revenge 2 – 0 #10 Supremacy
#7 BOT Empire 2 – 0 #10 Supremacy
Jovon White, a resident writer here at GAMURS and coach of BOT Empire, stated that after an “the first day was exhausting and dissappointing. We lost to a very talented Revenge team but we are happy with our win over Supremacy. We have a lot to go over. We made many mistakes throughout both series.”
Group C
#3 Team EnVyUs 2 – 0 #6 VexX Gaming
#3 Team EnVyUs 2 – 0 #11 Mindfreak
#6 VexX Gaming 2 – 0 #11 Mindfreak
Group D
#4 eUnited 2 – 0 #5 Eanix
#4 eUnited 2 – 1 #12 Splyce
#5 Eanix 2 – 1 #12 Splyce
Finally, we want to end this post by wishing GAMURS’s own Jovon White, and the rest of BOT Empire, the best of luck throughout the rest of this event.
(He is lurking behind his team, BOT Empire).
