Earlier today Tempo Storm announced on their website the signing of Diego “Quas” Ruiz, Kevin “Zentinel” Pires and Jamie “Sheep” Gallagher for their NA CS roster.
Quas, after leaving Team Liquid at the end of 2015, took the 2016 Spring Split off for personal reasons. Quas returned to the LCS in April, though now under the NRG organization. Quas’ 2016 season was extremely underwhelming, especially when compared to his performance on Team Liquid. Quas on NRG finished ninth in the Summer Split regular season, and was later relegated from the LCS. Quas addressed his performance issue in Tempo Storm’s announcement saying,
“After my underwhelming last showing in LCS, I’m looking to get back on top form and compete to the best of my ability. I like my chances of qualifying back into the LCS with Tempo Storm, and I’m excited to see how much I can contribute to the growth of this newly-formed line-up.”
Sheep, most commonly known for his time in the LCS on XDG Gaming and Team Coast back in 2014 – early 2015, has returned from retirement to play for Tempo Storm. Sheep’s last competitive game played was back in August 2015 on Cloud9’s Challenger Series team, Cloud9 Tempest.
Zentinel, before joining Tempo Storm, was the substitute jungler for NA LCS team, Phoenix1. Zentinel only played in three series during his time on Phoenix1.
Tempo Storm’s full roster coming into 2017 is as follows:
- Top: Diego “Quas” Ruiz
- Jungle: Kevin “Zentinel” Pires
- Mid: Jørgen “Hatrixx” Elgåen
- AD Carry: Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek
- Support: Jamie “Sheep” Gallagher
