“Robots in disguise” and “more than meets the eye” are good ways to describe some of the cast of Overwatch 2, but they’re also trademark lyrics from the Transformers theme song.
And that’s why the new Overwatch 2 Transformers collaboration is a perfect fit. In a world that was taken over by evil robots, OW2’s next collaboration features both good and evil bots to suit up as when grinding the competitive ladder.
The OW2 x Transformers collaboration begins on July 9, and four OW2 heroes are getting their own transformation into classic characters from the toy-centric franchise that began in the 1980s and is still strong today.
Here are all of the OW2 skins coming in the Transformers event.
All Overwatch 2 Transformers skins
There are four total skins as part of the OW2 x Transformers event, and they’re for tanks Reinhardt and Ramattra, damage hero Bastion, and support hero Illari.
Reinhardt – Optimus Prime
The leader of the Autobots and founding member of Overwatch come together for a truly perfect look. Reinhardt’s build is perfectly similar to that of Optimus Prime, making this skin a match made in robot heaven.
The compulsion to say “autobots, roll out” while leading the charge as the classic tank will be impossible to resist.
Ramattra – Megatron
The main antagonist of the Transformers universe is another perfect fit for one of the Overwatch universe’s villains. Ramattra’s massive arms in his Nemesis form turn into huge cannons that Megatron can use to decimate the Autobots all by himself.
The next time your Ramattra faces off against the opposing team’s Reinhardt, it could be as the two robotic rivals.
Bastion – Bumblebee
The innocent, fun-loving Bastion finds a friend in Bumblebee the Autobot, star of the Transformers movie franchise that became so popular he even got his own movie with Hailee Steinfeld. Bastion’s tank form as Bumblebee is similar to the signature car that the character was often seen as in the films.
Illari – Arcee
Arcee is the third Autobot in the collaboration and a new Legendary skin for support hero Illari, giving all three of the game’s roles a cosmetic in the event. Arcee has often been depicted as a female Autobot, pink in color, and has been known to transform into a cute convertible car.
The OW2 Transformers skins will be available in the in-game store for a limited time.
