If you’re going to play Cassidy in Overwatch 2, you’ll need a crosshair that can stand up to the demands the character’s design puts on raw aim skills. Cassidy’s Peacekeeper revolver is still one of the strongest individual main weapons, which boosts the hero’s raw damage output—again, only if you hit your shots.

If you’re interested in playing Cassidy in Overwatch 2 and are looking for the best crosshair, here’s everything you need to know.

Best Cassidy crosshair

The best crosshair for Cassidy in Overwatch 2 is a dot crosshair. A dot as opposed to a traditional reticle allows you to hit your shots with precision while also keeping the screen less cluttered.

To get the best crosshair for Cassidy in Overwatch 2 you can use the following settings:

  • Type: DOT
  • Show Accuracy: Off
  • Color: A bright, neon color
  • Thickness: One
  • Crosshair Length: Zero
  • Center Gap: 0
  • Opacity: 100 percent
  • Outline Opacity: 100 percent
  • Dot Size: 5
  • Dot Opacity: 100 percent
  • Scale with Resolution: On

While a dot crosshair isn’t great for all heroes in Overwatch 2, the reason it works for Cassidy is because he is a mid-range DPS hero. This means he plays close enough to not need a traditional crosshair that orients him to his faraway surroundings, but far enough to still need a distinct reference to prioritize hitting headshots.

When you play the cowboy, you’ll want to always be aware of your surroundings and save your roll ability to get out of sticky situations. A smaller crosshair allows you to stay focused on the action happening all around you without getting distracted.

To edit your crosshair in Overwatch 2, press the Esc key while on the main menu screen and select “OPTIONS.” Then, hit the “CONTROLS” tab at the top of the screen and you should see “RETICLE” right below the “MOUSE” and “CONTROLLER” settings. If you wish to only use this crosshair for Cassidy, simply select the option to “CHANGE HERO” directly to the right of the “RETICLE” section and select him among the DPS heroes.

For Cassidy’s crosshair, we decided to set the Dot Size to 5 and the Outline Opacity to 100% so that you don’t lose sight of your reticle during hectic fights with lots of abilities being used, however, you can adjust this to your own preference. If you’re finding the dot to be too small at first, feel free to increase the size.

The color of most ideal crosshairs in Overwatch 2 is a bright neon color like green, cyan, or magenta, because the game is famous for being cluttered and chaotic. Cassidy’s best crosshair is no exception.

With your new best Cassidy crosshair in hand, you’ll be hitting shots and taking play of the game on the Western gunslinger in no time.
