Lunatic-Hai and Ryujehong nominated in The Game Awards

There are a few esports awards up for grabs this year.

Seoul Dynasty support Ryu “Ryujehong” Je-hong has been nominated for The Game Awards’ 2017 Best Esports Player award.

The former Lunatic-Hai Overwatch player is nominated for the award alongside League of Legends SK Telecom T1 player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive SK Gaming player Marcelo “coldzera” David, CS:GO FaZe Clan player Nikola “NiKo” Kovac, and Dota 2 Team Liquid player Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi.

Lunatic-Hai’s Overwatch program is also up for a nomination for the Best Esports Team of 2017. Cloud9, FaZe Clan, SK Telecom T1, and Team Liquid are also nominated. Lunatic-Hai’s two-time OGN Overwatch Apex championship winning team has since moved on to Seoul Dynasty, KSV Esports’ Overwatch League team.

The Game Awards will also present an award to the Best Esports Game. Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO are nominated for the award. Winners will be announced on Dec. 7 during The Game Awards live show.

The original Lunatic-Hai roster will live on as Seoul Dynasty, with their winning history always a part of their legacy. Seoul Dynasty will make their Overwatch League debut on Dec. 6 when preseason exhibition matches begin. The regular season starts Jan. 10.
