When one of Overwatch’s Competitive Play seasons ends, another begins.
Overwatch’s 10th competitive season will end on June 27 at 7pm CT. Season 11 is scheduled to begin on June 30 at 7pm CT. There’s not much time to rest during Overwatch’s three-day break from its competitive queue—but short breaks are par for the course.

Everything about season 11 will be the same as season 10, except for one small detail for top 500 PC players. Anyone interested (and able) to make the top 500 players list on PC must have Blizzard SMS Protect enabled on their account. Any potential top 500 PC player that doesn’t do this won’t make the list. Blizzard SMS Protect is a way for players to keep track of changes made to their account—unlock a Blizzard account or approve a password reset, for instance.
Rewards for season 10 are unchanged, except for the season-specific player icon and spray. Anyone that reached top 500 in season 10 should receive their special sprays at the end of the season; everyone else that completed their placement matches will get the standard-issue ones. Competitive points will be passed out at the end of the season, too.These points are based on players’ maximum skill rating achieved during the season. Competitive points can be spent on golden weapons for Overwatch heroes.
Blizzard will award 65 competitive points for players that ended in Bronze, 125 for players in Silver, 250 for Gold, 500 for Platinum, 750 for Diamond, 1,200 for Master, and 1,750 for Grandmaster.
