Retired professional Overwatch player Brandon “Seagull” Larned will not participate in the Overwatch League All-Star Weekend.
The Overwatch League front office confirmed the news on Twitter on Aug. 14. “We have another All-Star roster update to share,” an Overwatch League representative wrote on Twitter. “Seagull is unable to attend but Bischu is joining the Pacific Division team as a reserve, and Kariv is joining the starting six.”

Los Angeles Valiant player Park “Kariv” Young-seo will stand in for Seagull on the starting roster, while Los Angeles Gladiators’ Kim “Bischu” Hyung-seok will be added to the reserve roster. (Kariv was previously part of the Pacific division’s reserve roster.)
Seagull announced his retirement from competitive Overwatch on Twitter last week. While streaming, the former Dallas Fuel flex player said he might miss the Overwatch League All-Star Weekend due to another commitment.

Last week, it was also announced that London Spitfire DPS Kim “birdring” Ji-hyeok will sit out of the All-Star Weekend due to a wrist injury. Fellow London DPS player Park “Profit” Jun-young is stepping in for birdring on the Atlantic division roster.
The Overwatch League’s All-Star Weekend is scheduled for Aug. 25 and 26 at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles in Burbank, California. Two teams, split up into the Atlantic and Pacific divisions, will participate in a series of skill-based custom games on Saturday, followed by the All-Star Game on Sunday. Throughout the weekend and beyond—from Aug. 17 to 27—Blizzard will also offer Overwatch League All-Star skins available for purchase through the game’s client. Each skin costs 200 Overwatch League credits.
