Tempo Storm’s Overwatch roster has yet to see success in a major LAN tournament, but they’re likely hoping a roster switch-up will change that.
The North American esports organization announced it’s disbanded its Australian Overwatch roster to focus on the North American lineup. The team’s newest addition is former Fnatic, FaZe Clan, and Bench Boys player Erik “TwoEasy” van Hoorn.
TwoEasy has been teamless for the past four months, but is infamous for roster swaps. Tempo Storm, however, is a good fit, TwoEasy told Dot Esports. “The team is just a really nice group of players and they have tons of potential,” TwoEasy said. “Tempo Storm is heavily invested in Blizzard titles, so that’s always a plus as well.”
The full Tempo Storm Overwatch roster includes tank player Rollon “Mini” Hamelin, DPS player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez, support Nicholas “Cosi” Beltran, flex Tanner “TiG” Spanu, and support Joey “Jkw” Wavering, with TwoEasy on flex DPS. Estevao “Hooey” Gama will operate as a substitute player for Tempo Storm, with Seth “Novx” Zuroff as the Overwatch team’s coach.
“For now we will just practice a lot to become a top contender in the United States,” TwoEasy added.
At this time, it’s unclear when the next major Overwatch tournament will take place. Even online, Overwatch tournaments in North America have fell into a lull.
