While VALORANT doesn’t have actual seasons, it does use what is effectively a seasonal model, with roughly six-month-long Episodes broken into Acts, which are a couple of months long.

With each Act, which comes with its own battle pass and ranked competitive window, VALORANT players also get treated to new content like new agents, new maps, and new modes. Each Act gives the new addition time to play with the community without overloading players with too much new content.

At the time of writing, VALORANT is hosting the first Act of Episode Eight, which began on Jan. 9. This act coincides with Patch 8.0, which includes updates to playable agents Deadlock and Killjoy, the addition of new weapon Outlaw to the arsenal, as well as updates to the Icebox map.

When is the next VALORANT Act?

According to VALORANT’s in-game timer, Episode Eight, Act One will end on March 5, 2024. Considering previous trends, Act Two should begin on March 5 after Riot finishes periodic server maintenance. There’s no official end date for Act Three, but Acts usually last a couple of months, we can guess it will begin in May 2024.

This will be updated once more concrete dates are shared.
