Using your ultimate ability correctly in VALORANT is essential to getting the most out of whichever agent you choose to play. Though certain agents have more impactful ultimates than others, when used efficiently, most of these hard-earned powers can make the difference between winning or losing a round.
In VALORANT, every agent has a unique voice line when activating their ultimate ability with the designated key bind (most commonly the “X” key).
Some ultimate voice lines are memorable and hard to miss, while others are subtle and might leave players confused or frenzied. Depending on whether you’re on their team or on the opposite side, you’ll hear gripping, varied dialogues when a player uses their ultimate. While some agents stick to simple yet exciting statements, others have additional voice lines to celebrate their ultimate’s success.
Here is a list of every VALORANT agent’s ultimate ability voice lines.
VALORANT agents and their ultimate voice lines as of Episode Seven
Brimstone – Orbital Strike
Brimstone’s lines while deploying his colossal ultimate ability, Orbital Strike, allude to his military training and background. Despite being a deadly ultimate, players more commonly use it to deny spike defusal or to clear and take control of a large space. You’ll need to time this ultimate perfectly or use lethal ability combos to grab kills, as players can escape its wrath easily if deployed thoughtlessly.
If you do manage to fry an enemy with the Orbital Strike, keep your ears open for Brimstone’s hilarious “Deep Fried!” comment, adding a nice, dad-joke flair to the ability’s success.
- Ally Brimstone casts Orbital Strike: “Open up the sky!”
- Enemy Brimstone casts Orbital Strike: “Prepare for hellfire!”
- If Ally Brimstone kills enemies with Orbital Strike: “Deep fried!”
Viper – Viper’s Pit
Viper’s Pit is regarded as one of the strongest ultimates in VALORANT, mostly due to the massive amount of space it can offer control over. It’s ratty, toxic, and diminishes the enemies’ vision—the perfect post-plant ability.
Yet, despite the fact Viper’s Pit often leads to multiple kills and even astonishing clutches, Viper has no special voice lines for when she gets a kill in her ultimate. This may be by design, so the player doesn’t lose sound cues while in the ultimate that already heavily reduces vision.
- Ally Viper casts Viper’s Pit: “Don’t get in my way.”
- Enemy Viper casts Viper’s pit: “Welcome to my world.”
Omen – From the Shadows
Besides the eerie feeling it gives, Omen’s “Scatter!” voice line never fails to shake up the enemy team’s plans, keeping them on their toes throughout the round. From the Shadows is possibly the only ultimate in VALORANT that can disrupt your mental peace so effectively, as you try to predict where the phantom teleported to—if he’s not in our spawn, where is he?
Omen players have tons of nifty tricks up their sleeves, utilizing the agent’s versatile teleportation skills, including his ultimate that allows him to teleport to any corner of the map in just a few seconds, to dumbfound their enemies like a pro. To top it off, Omen can use From the Shadows to safely pick up a dropped spike from the clutches of the enemy.
- Ally Omen casts From the Shadows: “Watch them run.”
- Enemy Omen casts From the Shadows: “Scatter!”
- If Omen gets a kill after using his ultimate: “Boo,” “You thought you were safe,” “Behind you,” or “Look behind you.”
- If Omen’s ultimate cast is interrupted (by taking damage): “Damn it!” or “Teleport stopped.”
Killjoy – Lockdown
Besides the catchy, threatening dialogue that her enemies get to hear when her Lockdown is cast, Killjoy announces the number of targets she detains after the dome finishes scanning the area. Though sadly, some of these voice lines are rarely heard, since her ultimate can be countered in a lot of ways and is primarily used for forcing enemies out of an area.
- Ally Killjoy casts Lockdown: “Initiated!”
- Enemy Killjoy casts Lockdown: “You should run…”
- If the ability detains no one: “Area’s clear!”
- If the ability detains one enemy: “Caught one.”
- If the ability detains two enemies: “Caught two.”
- If the ability detains three enemies: “Caught three.”
- If the ability detains four enemies: “Caught four.”
- If the ability detains five or all remaining enemies: “Caught five!” or “Got them all!”
- If Lockdown is destroyed: “Lockdown destroyed!”
- When a detained enemy is killed: “Fish in a barrel,” “Trapped and zapped!” or “Had some trouble?”
Cypher – Neural Theft
While Cypher’s basic ultimate voice lines are fairly simple, his infamous “give me a corpse!” dialogue is one that many players spam over and over in their games. It doesn’t help that sometimes the initiation of Neural Theft is bugged and won’t activate even when there is a corpse. Regardless, Cypher’s ultimate is crazy strong for uncertain rounds where intel on your enemies is king.
- Ally Cypher casts Neural Theft: “Where is everyone hiding?”
- Enemy Cypher casts Neural Theft: “I know exactly where you are.”
- No viable target in sight for Neural Theft: “Give me a corpse!”
Sova – Hunter’s Fury
Despite his fierce nature, Sova is a simple man when it comes to his ultimate, Hunter’s Fury, offering two basic ultimate dialogues that allude to his skills as a hunter with a magical, lethal bow and arrow.
It would certainly be refreshing to see Sova, being one of VALORANT’s first agents, get some special voice lines for his ultimate, although Hunter’s Fury can be too blaring as it is.
- Ally Sova casts Hunter’s Fury: “I am the hunter!”
- Enemy Sova casts Hunter’s Fury: “Nowhere to run!”
Sage – Resurrection
Sage is the closest to what we can call a ‘support agent’ in VALORANT, and her ultimate is one of the most powerful in a game with no in-round respawns. Her voice lines show how deeply she cares for her teammates and wants to support them in every way possible for them to continue their work.
But there is nothing more embarrassing than announcing “Your duty is not over!” and proceeding to get yourself and your teammate killed just for initiating the revival process in a vulnerable position.
- Ally Sage casts Resurrection: “Your duty is not over!”
- Enemy Sage casts Resurrection: “You will not kill my allies!”
Phoenix – Run It Back
Besides being reckless, Phoenix is one of the most stylish agents in the game, and his fiery dialogue as he enters his reversible, glowing Run it Back phase certainly shows off his charm and confidence.
- Ally Phoenix casts Run It Back: “Come on, let’s go!”
- Enemy Phoenix casts Run It Back: “Joke’s over, you’re dead!”
Jett – Blade Storm
Jett’s arrogant nature is highlighted by her aggressive ultimate voice lines, where she dares her teammates to watch her put the aerial, deadly knives to use and her enemies to prepare for an incoming storm.
Jett starts with five knives, which resets if she gets a kill with them. But the reset is canceled if she alt-fires her knives, causing her to use all her knives at once. Technically, the catchy “Give me those back” dialogue suggests that she takes the used knives out of her target’s corpses to use them again.
- Ally Jett casts Blade Storm: “Watch this!”
- Enemy Jett casts Blade Storm: “Get out of my way!”
- If Ally Jett kills an enemy with Blade Storm: “Give me those back.”
Reyna – Empress
Reyna’s Empress calls upon a set of extreme voice lines inciting terror among her enemies. In the words of Raze, once Reyna gets going, it’s hard to stop her. Reyna is depicted as an evil, soul-sucking huntress, and her ultimate cast voice line is terrifying from the enemy’s perspective.
To top it off, Reyna goes on laughing like a maniac, which resounds to her enemies, as she grabs orb after orb in her enhanced state, disappears, and then reappears. Not only is it scary to watch her digest those souls, but sometimes it gets incredibly difficult to track her.
- Ally Reyna activates Empress: “They will cower!”
- Enemy Reyna activates Empress: “The hunt begins.”
- If Reyna kills while in Empress: “All mine,” “Oh, the rush,” or “More, more!”
Raze – Showstopper
It’s difficult to convey the tone in which voice actor Carolina Ravassa acts out Raze’s Showstopper voice lines, but they are as chaotic as ever, just like the high-powered ability itself. Unfortunately, it can be a bit embarrassing when Raze shouts at the top of her lungs and then proceeds to shoot her Showstopper straight into a wall… or kill herself with it, also known as a ‘Roza ult’.
- Ally Raze casts Showstopper: “Here comes the party!”
- Enemy Raze casts Showstopper: “Fire in the hole!”
- If Showstopper kills an enemy: “I blew you up!” “Obliterated!” or “Boom!”
- If Showstopper kills multiple enemies at once: “You see that?” “Ha! You see that?” or “Oh, that worked great!”
Breach – Rolling Thunder
Unfortunately, our friendly neighborhood Swede doesn’t have much when it comes to voice lines for his Rolling Thunder. Breach’s ultimate chatter might be the most boring.
- Ally Breach casts Rolling Thunder: “Let’s go!”
- Enemy Breach casts Rolling Thunder: “Off your feet!”
Skye – Seekers
Skye prefers interacting with her animals anyway, so it’s no surprise her friendly ultimate voice line is an order to the three Seekers she sends out to track her enemies. “I’ve got your trail” is what the enemies hear, stirring panic as they begin to look around and wait for the yellow indicators or growling noises of the Seekers.
- Ally Skye casts Seekers: “Seek them out.”
- Enemy Skye casts Seekers: “I’ve got your trail.”
- If Seekers find one enemy: “Found one!”
- If Seekers find two enemies: “There’s another!”
- If Seekers find three enemies: “Three for three!”
Yoru – Dimensional Drift
Another duelist with a bit of arrogance and swag, Yoru drifts through the dimension and exits it in style, both aurally and visually. The confidence that beams from his “I’ll handle this” friendly dialogue speaks volumes about Yoru’s nature and devotion to winning battles. At the same time, Yoru’s wizard-ish “Who’s next?” enemy dialogue warns his opponents of an upcoming surprise.
- Ally Yoru casts Dimensional Drift: “I’ll handle this.”
- Enemy Yoru casts Dimensional Drift: “Who’s next?”
- Ally Yoru exits Dimensional Drift: “I’m back.”
- Kill after exiting Dimensional Drift: “Miss me?”, “I’m right here,” or “Looking for me?”
Astra – Cosmic Divide
Astra has a bunch of bubbly voice lines and fun interactions with her colleagues, but the voice lines for her ultimate, Cosmic Divide, are almost the same on both sides and are pretty basic. Astra is one of the most powerful agents in the game lore-wise (she can literally control the Astral plane with stars) so it would be nice to see her have a more influential voice line for her ultimate.
- Ally Astra casts Cosmic Divide: “World divided!”
- Enemy Astra casts Cosmic Divide: “You are divided!”
KAY/O – NULL/CMD
For a failing robot, KAY/O sure has a lot to say when he gets knocked down while NULL/CMD is activated. At least, there is a one-in-five chance of him thanking the player who resurrects him in the middle of a chaotic fight!
- Ally KAY/O casts NULL/CMD: “No one walks away.”
- Enemy KAY/O casts NULL/CMD: “You are powerless!”
- Ally KAY/O downed while using NULL/CMD: “I need a reset,” “Emergency reset required,” “Requesting manual reset.”
- Enemy KAY/O downed while using NULL/CMD: “System failure,” “Critical damage,” or “Shutting down.”
- Ally KAY/O rebooted after being downed: “Back online,” “Core systems restored,” “Thank you.”
- Enemy KAY/O rebooted after being downed: “Now, where was I?”, “Resuming your termination.”
Chamber – Tour de Force
Another voice line that instantly sends chills through the enemy team’s spine is that of Chamber’s Tour de Force. Stop peeking long! Stop peeking mid! In the hands of a skilled wielder, it’s difficult to beat this golden sniper rifle. And Chamber knows it too, which is why he confidently invites his enemies to challenge him.
- Ally Chamber casts Tour de Force: “They are so dead!”
- Enemy Chamber casts Tour de Force: “You want to play? Let’s play.”
- If Chamber kills an enemy with Tour de Force: “Ooh, I like it,” “Oh I’m enjoying this!”, “Beautiful,” “I love this gun!” or “This is too fun!”
Neon – Overdrive
We’re not quite sure what Neon is upset about, but she’s pissed and ready to zap you if you get in her way. Her entire body lights up with electricity as she gets pumped up for battle with her Overdrive.
- Ally Neon casts Overdrive: “Here we go!”
- Enemy Neon casts Overdrive: “Hoy! I’m pissed!”
- If Ally Neon kills an enemy with Overdrive: “Die!” “Dead!” or “Zapped!”
Fade – Nightfall
Fade’s ultimate voice lines all seem to point to a deeper meaning and add to her dark, mysterious character. If you get hit by the ultimate, it does end up being quite a terrifying experience.
- Ally Fade casts Nightfall: “Nightmare, take them!”
- Enemy Fade casts Nightfall: “Face your fear!”
- Nightfall marks one enemy: “Marked one.”
- Nightfall marks two enemies: “Marked two.”
- Nightfall marks three enemies: “Marked three.”
- Nightfall marks four enemies: “Marked four.”
- Nightfall marks five enemies: “Marked five.”
- If the ability kills a marked enemy: “I’m done with you,” “Inevitable,” “Contract complete,” or “Dream no more.”
Harbor – Reckoning
Harbor can charge up and deploy a powerful ultimate, Reckoning, that not only reveals enemy positioning but also forces them to displace from their hideouts or get concussed. While its effects prevail for only a short time, Reckoning can be quite a menacing ability to handle—you should definitely plan on moving to a safer place if you hear Harbor warning your team.
Apart from two basic callouts for ultimate casts, Harbor’s voice line package is pretty bland for such a powerful ability. A few after-kill dialogues, in addition to the basics, will definitely spice things up for the water-bending controller’s ultimate.
- Ally Harbor casts Reckoning: “Let’s turn the tide.”
- Enemy Harbor casts Reckoning: “I suggest you move.”
Gekko – Thrash
Gekko’s Thrash ability is one of VALORANT’s most versatile ultimates—scout, punish, or displace your enemies from their state. Sort of a combination of Skye’s Trailblazer and Killjoy’s Lockdown, Gekko can guide Thrash, his small shark-like creature, to explode in the face of an enemy.
If a player manages to pick up Thrash’s dormant globule timely and safely after its first use, they could use her twice in one round—a feature not available for any other VALORANT ultimate.
Gekko’s voice lines when he uses Thrash show he views her as both his colleague and his underling, shouting encouraging words as she moves forward.
- Ally Gekko casts Thrash: “It’s all you, lil’ homie!”
- Ally Gekko recasts Thrash (twice in the same round): “Thrash is going again!”, “We’re going again!”, “She’s going again!”
- Enemy Gekko casts Thrash: “Oye, monster on the loose!”
- Enemy Gekko recasts Thrash (twice in the same round): “Thrash isn’t done with you!”, “She’s still gunning for ya!”, “You want more? Here’s more!”
- If Ally Thrash is destroyed: “Man, they stopped her,” “They shot Thrash,” “They stopped her.”
- If Ally Thrash times out before she explodes: “That’s as far as she goes,” “She’s all done running.”
- If Ally Thrash connects with an enemy: “Thrash hit ’em!”, “Thrash got a hit!”, “Thrash got ’em!”
- Picking up Ally Thrash’s Globule: “You want more?”, “Wanna go again?”, “Up for more?”, “Another? Órale.”
Deadlock – Annihilation
Annihilation is the perfect example of a hit-or-miss ultimate. A pulse of nanowires will capture or cocoon an enemy player, pulling the trapped player towards certain death if they reach the end of the line unless they’re freed by an ally.
- Ally Deadlock equips Annihilation: “Pull them to their grave!”
- Ally Deadlock casts Annihilation but doesn’t catch a player: “Nothing there. Hmph!”
- Enemy Deadlock casts Annihilation: “My territory, my rules.”
- Ally Deadlock catches an enemy with Annihilation: “Reeling them in.”
- Enemy Deadlock catches a player with Annihilation: “I have them now.”
Iso – Kill Contract
One of the most stylish and unique ultimates is Iso’s Kill Contract. He fires forward a column of energy, catching the first enemy it contacts, and pulls them and him into a separate one-vs-one arena, where Iso has a slight dropdown shield advantage. The winner of the duel returns to the spot where they were pulled.
- Ally Iso casts Kill Contract: “No distractions!”
- Enemy Iso casts Kill Contract: “It’s you and me!”
- Iso has one of three lines he’ll use if he gets a kill using Kill Contract:
- “Contract complete.”
- “Well fought.”
- “And that’s the end.”
Clove – Not Dead Yet
While its name might sound a bit underwhelming, Clove’s Not Dead Yet ultimate, is mesmerizing (and chaotic) to watch. Activating Not Dead Yet self-resurrects Clove. As overpowered as this sounds, it puts them on a timer and they have to find a kill or assist to stay alive. Of course, an ult of this stature is accompanied by some impressionable dialogues.
Besides dialogues for ally cast and enemy cast, Clove’s dictionary has words for when they manage to stay alive by killing an enemy or grabbing an assist after the ultimate is cast.
- Ally Clove casts Not Dead Yet (X): “Back like I never left!”
- Enemy Clove casts Not Dead Yet (X): “You had your fun, my turn!”
- Clove has three voice lines for when they manage to stay alive after the ultimate is cast:
- Think I’ll stay.
- I’m back for good!
- That was close.
Clove can only cast their ult after death and when at least one teammate is alive.
Vyse – Steel Garden
Leave no options for the enemy team with Vyse’s weapon-jamming ultimate, perfect for retakes or when attacking a site. Steel Garden locks down an affected enemy’s primary weapons, leaving them with just a pistol to face you. The effect lasts for a few seconds, so you’ve got to be fast to find value. It also has an annoying three-second windup, giving enemies on its border enough time to escape. This still pushes them back from the spots they were holding, which is very valuable on defender-friendly maps.
Such a powerful ability should certainly be accompanied by great dialogue, and Riot didn’t fail us this time. That said, there are only two Vyse ultimate voice lines to look forward to, one for her allies and the other for her enemies.
- Ally Vyse casts Steel Garden (X): “Bring me the arsenal!”
- Enemy Vyse casts Not Dead Yet (X): “Adapt or die!”
