VALORANT‘s Sheriff is feast or famine—either you land an on-point headshot, or you die in a frenzy of recoil. But regardless of your aim, the right Sheriff skin will make your misses look fashionable.

The tac shooter’s most popular weapons—the Vandal, Phantom, and Operator—are guaranteed to have a plethora of skins. The Sheriff, on the other hand, has fewer options in the skin department because it’s a pistol that’s not used as often as its assault rifle counterparts. Riot Games still created a beautiful assortment of cosmetics for players to tap heads with.

Here are the best Sheriff skins in VALORANT.

Best Sheriff skins in VALORANT

1) Neo Frontier Sheriff

The Neo Frontier Sheriff has to be the pistol’s best skin so far. Inspired by old and upcoming trends, the Neo Frontier collection pays tribute to the gripping American Western genre with a futuristic twist. While the entire bundle is excellent, the Sheriff skin is just immaculate, with its charismatic equip, inspect, and reload animations and tunes.

You can literally spin the Neo Frontier Sheriff around its handle in style and flaunt your headshot skills with laser-like shots, sending your enemies to the bone orchard—like a fearless modern cowboy saving the town from dangerous threats. If you regret not getting the rare Arcane Sheriff, Neo Frontier should also appease your liking with a similar spin-around equip animation and holding stance.

Sealing the deal, the impressive finisher animation sends the last enemy falling through a set of saloon doors, and a ‘Wanted: Dead or Alive’ poster appears on the top with the portrait of the enemy, declaring a $20,000 reward claim.

2) Arcane Sheriff

Regardless of their pricey nature, time-limited exclusive cosmetics are always special. The Arcane Sheriff is one of VALORANT’s rarest cosmetics, added as part of the Arcane Collector’s Set to celebrate the launch of Riot’s Arcane: League of Legends TV series.

Up for grabs for only two weeks in November 2021, those who could purchase the Arcane Collector’s Set undoubtedly own one of the best-designed Sheriff skins in the game. Equip the Arcane Sheriff, and it will spin to aim at your enemy.

You can upgrade the skin to unlock a glowing, transparent barrel with a purplish flame, which comes to life when you reload the weapon. The dial extending from the body on the right turns transparent as well, featuring pinkish electrical sparks. The upgrade also changes the muzzle flash and gunfire, offering a more distinct experience from the base Sheriff.

Sadly, there’s no finisher animation associated with the Arcane Sheriff, but this deficiency doesn’t affect its beauty.

3) ChronoVoid Sheriff

The ChronoVoid Sheriff is probably the most animated yet non-distracting Sheriff skin you can get in VALORANT. Drawing its power from a rotating spherical relic at its center, the weapon lets out its potent bullets with distinct audio effects—a fulfilling change from the Sheriff’s coarse base gunfire.

Flaunting impressive animations and satisfying audio effects, the ChronoVoid skins wield ancient godly power to offer the edge you yearn for in your fights. I find the reload and inspect animation, which pulls out the reactive power source in the player’s hands, quite tempting. There’s just something about mystical, forbidden power; it fits perfectly into the conflicted lore of VALORANT.

Not to forget, the finisher animation engulfs the last enemy killed into a giant version of the power source—something you can behold after a round win.

4) Ion Sheriff

Belonging to one of the most iconic VALORANT cosmetic collections, the Ion Sheriff lets you take down enemies with laser-like precision. If you struggle to aim with a Sheriff, the Ion is probably what you’re looking for.

While Riot assures there’s no competitive advantage to skins, the Ion Sheriff’s gratifying gun fire somehow makes it easier to land shots. Powered by a blue energy core at its center, it is characterized by a simple white body with black details—a simple yet elegant design.

The finisher transforms the last enemy killed into a huge ball of ionic energy, which later blasts into rays of energy before disappearing.

5) Singularity Sheriff

A representation of the otherworlds and mysterious science, the Singularity collection offers a deep, alluring theme, which perfectly complements the Sheriff.

The Singularity Sheriff’s geometrical structure is quite attractive, featuring rocks held together by unchartered technology. Upon reloading, inspecting, or equipping it, watch the loosely held parts move apart for a moment and then become one like they’re meant to be.

The mystical sound effects accompanying the animations and the Black Hole finisher make wielding the weapon even more exciting.

6) Sentinels of Light Sheriff

The Sentinels of Light Sheriff is musical and oozes magic, a two-in-one experience that I love. It has a pleasing flow to it, and the way those distinct gems on it move when reloaded, inspected, or equipped is just perfect. What appeals to me the most is its audio effects, enriched with calming violin chords.

The Sentinels of Light collection is inspired by elements from League of Legends’ rich lore and was added to VALORANT as part of Riot’s Sentinels of Light event. All the weapons in the collection feature distinct audio designs inspired by League’s characters, and the Sheriff’s SFX pulls audio effects from Graves, a high-damage Marksman champion.

While I love the Sentinels of Light Sheriff and might even declare it my personal favorite, its classical audio design makes it seem slightly ‘slippery.’ I have struggled to hit clean headshots with this skin, and the flowy audio tempts me to spam the weapon, albeit in rare cases. You may not want to choose this cosmetic if you struggle with your Sheriff aim or lack firing discipline.

7) Protocol 781-A Sheriff

With the sleek Protocol 781-A Sheriff, you can literally have a pocket KAY/O (robot) announce your achievements as you take down opponents with the sidearm. It’s well-designed, offering users a headshot-friendly, stylish, and technologically advanced experience.

Besides the exciting fragmenting effects associated with the skin’s inspect, reload, or equip animations, the Protocol 781-A Sheriff also flaunts satisfying fire and kill audio effects, making it a complete package. If you’re looking for a premium skin that gives you aimbot-like mechanics, give Protocol 781-A a chance to impress you.

The most vivid feature of the Protocol 781-A collection is its finisher animation, featuring a flaunty giant robot mowing down the last enemy killed into the ground with laser bullets while scanning the area for remaining threats (none).

Note that this skin requires five upgrades, the final one being for the voice-over, as opposed to the usual four upgrades most skins require.

8) Reaver Sheriff

You cannot go wrong with the Reaver Sheriff. Screenshot by Dot Esports

The iconic Reaver collection offers one of the most loved Sheriff skins of all time. Its simple yet impressive design, coupled with the satisfying Reaver theme, is just impeccable.

Besides the mysterious, distinct glyphs engraved all over its elegant body, the Reaver Sheriff boasts a dark, enticing finisher and satisfying SFX like its counterparts. I haven’t been able to master the Sheriff’s tricky recoil yet, but with a Reaver skin slapped on it, for some mystical reason, headshots seem like a breeze to me.

Reaver skins are surprisingly quite humbly priced; there are bland, animation-less skins priced in the same range, which just don’t make any sense. Listed at 1,775 VP, the Reaver Sheriff is a great choice for those on a budget. Unless you have the option to purchase the Ion Sheriff, which is, hands down, the best among the cheap.

9) Magepunk Sheriff

The polished bronze body on the Magepunk Sheriff is embellished with reactive details and see-through parts when you upgrade the skin. Electrical streaks emerge from its transparent parts—almost as if the weapon harnesses electrical energy for its potent bullets. The finisher traps the last enemy killed in a huge cylindrical jar before electrocuting them to dust.

An interesting fusion of age-old technology and powers we don’t understand, Magepunk’s retrofuturistic design is to-point and unique. The variants offer just a hint of color, preserving its special base design. Its audio effects have a satisfying ring to it; not to forget, it’s also fairly priced at 1,775 VP.

The Magepunk Sheriff isn’t as pretty as the rest on the list, but its grand finisher, smooth fire and kill audio, and electrical hints are unmissable. Then again, if it were me, I would prefer similarly priced skins like the Ion or Reaver Sheriff over the steampunk-inspired skin in VALORANT. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t like it.

10) Yoru’s Death Wish/Jett’s Game Over Sheriff

Are you looking for a good Sheriff skin but don’t want to spend your hard-earned money? Check out the elegant Jett’s Game Over Sheriff or Yoru’s Death Wish Sheriff, for which you don’t have to pay a penny.

Jett’s Game Over Sheriff flaunts simple white-over-blue details, indicating the agent’s expertise with air and clouds of air. Yoru’s Death Wish, on the other hand, features a royal blue color and details from Yoru’s unmissable mask, which allows him to break open reality.

You can unlock these skins by going to the agent’s contract page and using Kingdom Credits. There are 10 levels in an agent recruitment contract, and you’ll have to unlock the final one to get the weapon skin associated with the contract.
