VALORANT is a massive FPS that requires multiple updates to ensure each bullet is popping heads as precisely as possible and every pixel is in place. When bigger updates at the start of new episodes and acts occur, scheduled maintenance takes place that will certainly delay your ranked placements.
The updates at the start of episodes and acts will typically require more maintenance, especially if maps and agents are being significantly updated.
With the launch of VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two, as well as Patch 7.04, the game is sure to be down for some time due to Sunset and Breeze joining the map pool, the big updates to Premier and agents, and all the new seasonal content.
But of course, you want to play as soon as possible—so here’s when the VALORANT downtime that’s currently running will end.
When will the VALORANT downtime end?
The most recent patch, VALORANT Patch 7.04, was launched on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 29, and the game is currently down for scheduled maintenance with error code 46 at time of writing.
It’s never been exactly clear when scheduled maintenance ends as Riot doesn’t have an estimated time posted, nor does it list the game being down on the VALORANT status page on the Riot website. Based on previous patches and new acts, we can estimate that maintenance will likely end around 11am CT or 12pm CT at the latest.
When maintenance subsides, though, players should have full access to the new act and patch, including the new maps, the new Premier experience, and the new agent changes, plus the new battle pass.
