New leaks for the upcoming release of Riot Games’ VALORANT mobile game have been spotted this week, with a short clip giving us a glimpse of features like specific training courses for movement techniques in the shooter like jump-peeking—techniques the PC version doesn’t teach us.

According to leaked footage in a Sept. 8 post on X (formerly Twitter), the VALORANT mobile game will introduce an “Advanced Training Mode” with tutorials for jump-peeking, jiggle-peeking, and possibly other key mobility skills. This is a nice addition, but it’s a little odd that we don’t already have access to these training courses in the original PC version of the FPS—especially considering how essential these techniques are.

Knowing how to jump peek, for example, can often be the difference between winning or losing in a post-plant situation. Imagine you’re the last person alive on your team and it’s your job to make sure the enemy doesn’t defuse the bomb. If you don’t have any utility left, you’ll have to check to make sure the enemy isn’t sticking the bomb when you hear a tap. Otherwise, you might lose your team the round because “pros don’t fake.”

The safest and most reliable way to check on the bomb is by jump-peeking from behind a wall since it’s harder to hit a fast-moving target in the air. This kills time while baiting the enemy off the bomb. Play your cards right and you’ll clutch the round just like the pros.

But because we don’t have any proper jump peek or jiggle peek tutorials already built into the game, you won’t see many players taking advantage of these skills in lower-ranked lobbies. Jump-peeking isn’t super difficult to do, but you need some guidance and practice to execute it properly in your matches. If we can get a special training mode for these specific techniques like in the mobile game, it could help newer or lower-ranked players clutch more rounds.

To be fair, the VALORANT community has put out tons of video tutorials explaining how to jiggle or jump peek on the PC at this point, but it’s hard to say how that’ll translate to the mobile version with completely different controls, so it does make sense for there to be a built-in tutorial. That way, mobile players won’t be left to figure out how to do it on their own when the game eventually arrives. Until then, the best you can do is check out a tutorial, hit the regular practice range, and shoot a few bots.
