Gerudo Town in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has a ton of quests that task you with finding certain echos, delivering items, or helping a strangely enthusiastic Gerudo find a Tumbleweed of all things.

As part of the Elusive Tumbleweeds quest, located west of Gerudo Town, the Gerudo is hellbent on finding and seeing a Tumbleweed up close and cries that they break easily and can’t examine them more closely. We don’t know how someone who lives in the desert can be so enthusiastic about a dead plant blowing in the wind, but if we lived in the desert, we would be bored too, we suppose.

To complete the Elusive Tumbleweeds quest in Echoes of Wisdom, you must bring Gerudo a Tumbleweed from the desert, which sounds much easier than you think.

They always break if you go into the desert and try to grab a Tumbleweed. You can use any echo or try to get a Tumbleweed echo, but it won’t work. That’s because you need to use an ability you hardly think about when out of the Still World.

Instead, when approaching a Tumbleweed, you need to press the X button to use the Bind ability, which freezes the Tumbleweed in place. Your mission isn’t over that easily, though, as if the Tumbleweed touches anything in this state, it’ll still break, and you need to find another one.

The best thing to do is approach the Tumbleweed from the north and wait for it to barely touch Zelda before you throw out the bind. This creates a good enough distance between the item and the player to traverse the Tumbleweed back into Gerudo Town.

The best route to take the Tumbleweed by far is through the west of Gerudo Town. A single staircase winds around to the quest-giving NPC that you can easily squeeze yourself and the bonded Tumbleweed through to reach your destination.

Once you get the Tumbleweed in front of the enthusiastic Gerudo, a small cutscene plays, and you get rewarded with two Might Crystals, which you can use to upgrade your sword power or level in Suthorn Forest.

Once you finish the quest, you can head north of Gerudo Town and start scaling the wall to take on one of the area’s quests to find a Flying Tile. These are located in a cave north above the cliff between the Gerudo Desert and the grasslands.
