It’s not the first time the NBA 2K has incorporated a Go-Kart into proceedings. While the series is known for its attention to detail and fluid basketball gameplay, 2K isn’t afraid to have some fun—which is where the topic of a Go-Kart crops up.

Traveling around The City is a lot more fun in a Go-Kart. You won’t be getting three-pointers on your license for reckless driving either, so let’s get you into the hot seat as soon as possible in NBA 2K25.

You need to complete a series of quests in The City until you unlock the “Gatorade Go-Kart Challenge” in NBA 2K25. Once you do this, complete the quest and submit an eligible time in the mission, and the Go-Kart should now be in your inventory to use whenever.

In case you want these steps explained in more detail, here’s a step-by-step guide, thanks to GosuNoob:

  1. Go into NBA 2K25‘s The City and complete the main quests.
  2. Keep doing this until you unlock the Heart of a Dynasty: Club Game quest.
  3. Finish the quest—it’s also recommended you play at least three NBA games, too.
  4. Ticking off the Heart of a Dynasty: Club Game missions should unlock several side quests, including Gatorade Go-Kart Challenge.
  5. Track the quest and head to The Track.
  6. Complete three laps and register a time.
  7. Once you’re outside and the game has registered the mission as being done, open up the menu and go to MyPLAYER.
  8. Go to Equipment.
  9. Scroll down to Four Wheels.
  10. The Gatorade Go-Kart should be here ready to equip!

You can now sail around The City as fluidly as you would glide around the basketball court! Once you’ve unlocked the Go-Kart though, it might be time to refocus on NBA 2K25‘s core mechanics. So, check out the best build for every position, along with the best heights for all dunk badges, and best dribble moves.
