The Berlin-based organization has recruited two former PUBG professionals, Jack “WACKO” Middleton and Matthieu “oraxe” Ribiere, who used to represent G2 Esports and Team Vitality, respectively. The third and final player on PENTA’s Apex roster is Herman “Nesh” Kobrin, a former Overwatch Contenders player who recently retired from London Spitfire’s academy team, British Hurricane.

PENTA Sports is just one of many organizations that have recently made moves in Respawn Entertainment’s game. Most notably, 100 Thieves, NRG Esports, Cloud9, and G2 Esports have started signing Apex players.

Despite Apex not having its own esports scene (beyond a few community events) yet, Gen.G recently converted former Overwatch and Team Fortress players into professional battle royale players. Chris “Grimreality” Schaefer, Ted “silkthread” Wang, and Tim “Dummy” Olson were all recruited to represent the brand.
