Park “Neko” Se-hyeon will miss the Overwatch League’s All-Star Weekend, according to a post on Twitter.
Boston Uprising announced Neko’s withdrawal from the event on Twitter. “Unfortunately, Neko will not be able to return to California in time for All-Star Weekend due to receiving his visa late,” Boston Uprising wrote. “We want to wish the best of luck to Gamsu and Striker, as well as all the other competitors this weekend.”

Neko later confirmed via Twitter that he would be absent from the All-Star Weekend, despite being nominated as part of the Atlantic division’s reserve roster. “I’m so sorry to my fans, I cannot make it to All-Star Weekend because of [a] visa issue,” Neko wrote. “I was happy that I was picked for All-Star games when I missed the World Cup, but sad to see that I won’t make it to All-Stars.”
Fellow Boston Uprising tank player Noh “Gamsu” Young-jin and DPS player Kwon “Striker” Nam-joo are scheduled to participate in the All-Star matches as part of the reserve roster. Rules state that all reserve players must play at least once during the official All-Star match. Neko, too, was part of the reserve roster for the Atlantic division.
Several adjustments to the All-Star Weekend rosters have been made. Former Dallas Fuel flex player Brandon “Seagull” Larned stepped down from the Pacific division roster after retiring from competitive Overwatch. London Spitfire’s DPS player Kim “birdring” Ji-hyeok will also sit out of the All-Star Weekend due to a wrist injury.
The Overwatch League’s All-Star Weekend is scheduled for Aug. 25 and 26 in Blizzard Arena Los Angeles in Burbank, California.
