The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has turned out to be a pleasant surprise, resembling a 2D Breath of the Wild in many ways. One of those ways is the in-depth cooking system, with one ingredient proving particularly rare: the coveted Golden Egg.

While the Eggs are rare, and for good reason, there are a few places a particularly resourceful princess can find them if she knows where to look. Never again will you run out of Golden Smoothies!

As one might expect from the fact that they’re golden eggs, Golden Eggs in Echoes of Wisdom can be hard to come by. If you’re willing to put in the effort, though, they can be found in treasure chests in the world or guaranteed by completing the One Soldier Too Many side quest. You can pick this quest up from the right gate guard in Hyrule Castle Town, who tasks you with finding an impostor among the castle guard’s ranks.

After this impromptu game of Among Us (hint: look for someone who hasn’t been maintaining his equipment), General Wright himself will present you with a sparkling Golden Egg of your very own. This appears to be the only guaranteed drop at the moment, but if you don’t want to gamble with treasure chests, you can get more eggs by enlisting some outside help and turning to amiibo.

Any Zelda, Link or Ganon amiibo has a chance of dropping outfits for Zelda, which is their main purpose, but they also have a chance of granting treasure troves of ingredients, the elusive Golden Egg among them. You can only scan three amiibo a day, but that’s three chances at the Golden Egg! Keep at it, and you’ll soon be able to whip up the best smoothies in Hyrule.
