This can be a fairly tricky task to complete, since it requires immense precision and tracking down a fairly rare weapon. Once you know how to do both, it becomes a lot more doable, so here’s how to reveal players by setting off fireworks with the Flare Gun in Fortnite.

To complete the reveal players by setting off fireworks with the Flare Gun quest in Fortnite, you need to highlight a total of seven players using the Firework Flare Gun.

  • Find a Firework Flare Gun. If you’re not lucky, this can easily be the toughest part of this quest. The Firework Flare Gun is a random loot item, so the only way to find it is by looting around until you do. You may find in it chests, on the floor, and anywhere else you can think of. It can also sometimes be found in Birthday Presents alongside the Birthday Medallion, but it’s not a guaranteed drop.
  • Locate a POI, Landmark, or general area that has lots of players. If you fire your Firework Flare Gun when you’re not around players, you’ll waste one of your precious shots. This means it’s best to try and fire it only when you think you’re somewhere where there are almost certainly players hiding around. Since it’s the central theme of the season, any of the Marvel POIs are great options here since lots of players visit them in every match. This includes Doomstadt, The Raft, and Castle Doom. Doom’s Courtyard is also a Marvel POI, but it’s usually pretty empty so it’s best to pick one of the other spots instead.
  • Fire your Firework Flare Gun. Shooting this weapon unleashes an explosive shot that then highlights the entire surrounding area with a grid. All enemy players are marked with a red diamond above their heads. This effect marks all enemies within a 50-meter radius for 60 seconds. You need to have seven different players highlighted with a red diamond by this effect to complete this task. It doesn’t have to be all seven at once which means you can slowly work on this quest over time.
  • Repeat these steps until you complete the quest. If you’re struggling to find spots with lots of players, you may need to repeat this process over the course of a few different matches. It took me three matches to get it done because there weren’t many players at any of the spots I visited.

This weapon is a consumable item which means you only have a limited number of shots before it vanishes from your inventory. Each Firework Flare Gun only has six shots before you cannot use it anymore. You can gather more ammo for most weapons, but not this one, so you just have to set out to find a new Firework Flare Gun once it runs out.

With this quest out of the way, you can move on to tackling other essential tasks. Some good ones to work on next are releasing or popping Balloons, placing Stark Power Dampeners at The Raft, and eating slices of birthday cake. If you’re up for a bit of a challenge, you also might consider working on the secret Stark Fan Club found quests.
