Where to find Birthday Presents in Fortnite
Birthday Presents can be found as loot just about anywhere around the island in Fortnite. They’re primarily obtainable as chest and floor loot, but there’s also a chance you may come across them when opening supply drops or through other rare looting methods.
Although you can come across Birthday Presents while looting in many different ways, I’ve had the most luck finding them as random floor loot. Since they’re a Legendary item, it’s usually pretty easy to spot their golden glow from afar. Make sure you’re always scanning your surroundings while looting to ensure you don’t miss one.
How to open a Birthday Present in Fortnite
Once you have a Birthday Present in your inventory, you have to throw it to get the loot inside. This works just like any other consumable item you can find around the map, and it disappears from your inventory upon being used.
After the present spawns in front of you, walk up to it and switch over to your Pickaxe. Break one of the walls down to access the loot within. You can also throw the Birthday Present directly at your feet to spawn inside with the loot instead, but this requires very precise aim and can be a bit tough to do correctly, so it’s generally best to just throw it a short distance away and break into it.
What do Birthday Presents drop in Fortnite?
Birthday Presents mainly drop the special Birthday Medallion, but they also usually contain a random weapon. It’s usually a pretty good one that’s Epic rarity which means it has fairly powerful statistics. If you’re lucky, you also might find the Firework Flare Gun inside, but this weapon isn’t guaranteed.
The only item you will always find within a Birthday Present is the special Birthday Medallion, and it’s a pretty useful tool worth having in your inventory. If you want to get one, make sure you’re always on the lookout for presents to open as you traverse the island.
